Tourism
I’d like to tell you about tourism according to the general. Tourism is travel for recretional, leisure, or business purposes. The World Toursim Organization defines tourist as people “travelling to and staying in places outside their usual environment for not more than one consecutive year for leisure, business and other purposes.
But in my opinion, toursim is an activity that connected with travelling for get an entertainment, experiences, and refreshing our mind and body from the daily routine. And from tourism we could search and feel a new experience from many interesting places or historical places.
The tourism also can bring many economic and environmental benefits. Mass tourism is also associated with negative and positive effects. Both them are is :
-Positive effects in economic fields : Tourism creates jobs for local residents, increasing income of government for schools, housing and hospitals.
-Negative effects in economical fields : Government should spent a lot of money for a basic infrastructure, such as roads, visitor centers and hotels.
-Positive effects in environmental fields : Helps promote assets of nature and beautification from conservation of wildlife or natural resources like rain forests. And tourism also can reduces problems like deforestation in developing nations, by creating alternaticve sources of employment.
-Negtive effects in environmental fields : Sometimes tourist can damage region’s natural and cultural resources such as water supply, beaches, coral reefs and heritage sites, through overuse.
